Statistical Analysis-JGP Ostrava

I said that I was doing pairs, but I decided to switch to ladies last minute. And I only have an SP spreadsheet.

I tried to do one for the FS, but my brain resembled the aftermath of a nuclear explosion and I had just started school, so it crashed and burned.

(I will also be doing something less time-intensive for all of the other events. Sorry.)

-I did the top 7 for this competition, because the 7th placed skater in the SP was about a point under the 6th placed one.

-There are also no judges judging anyone from their own countries.

-Average GOE deviation, per skater: Kihira’s was 1.48 points, Gubanova’s was 1.63 points, Lozko’s was 1.84 points, Aoki’s was 1.43 points, Wessenberg’s was 2.04 points, Nikitina’s was 1.68 points, and Kim’s was 1.81 points.

-Average GOE deviation, per judge: Judge 1 is 2.40 points, Judge 2 is 1.50 points, Judge 3 is 1.26 points, Judge 4 is 2.13 points, Judge 5 is 1.75 points, Judge 6 is 1.37 points, Judge 7 is 1.47 points, Judge 8 is 1.84 points, and Judge 9 is 1.60 points.

-Average PCS deviation, per skater: Kihira’s was -0.25 points, Gubanova’s was 0.21 points, Lozko’s was 0.15 points, Aoki’s was o.60 points, Wessenberg’s was -0.01 points, Nikitina’s was 0.09 points, and Kim’s was -0.04 points.

-Average PCS deviation, per judge: Judge 1 is -0.07 points, Judge 2 is 0.30 points, Judge 3 is 1.07 points, Judge 4 is -0.07 points, Judge 5 is 1.71 points, Judge 6 is -1.63 points, Judge 7 is -0.15 points, Judge 8 is -1.22 points, and Judge 9 is 0.80 points.

-And some factoids.

Judge #1 gave Lozko a 2 on her 3lo< when everyone else gave it negative or zero GOE.

-Judges #8 and #9 gave Wessenberg 0 GOE on her 2a, which she fell on.

-Judge #8 also had a net deviation of 0 points for Aoki’s PCS, but tended to score nearly everyone else below the mean. (Kihira’s was 3.71 points, Gubanova’s was 2.15 points, Lozko’s was 2.17 points, and Kim’s was 2.04 points.) However, they also scored Wessenberg 2.28 points above the mean.

-Judge #5 tended to score people above the mean in PCS. (Kim’s was 4.96 points, Nikitina’s was 4.28 points, Gubanova’s was 2.35 points, and Kihira’s was 1.79 points.) However, they also scored Lozko 1.75 points below the mean.
